Texas Mobility Summit 2021
The Texas Innovation Alliance in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), and metropolitan regions across the state invite you to the sixth annual Texas Mobility Summit on October 27-29, 2021. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Summit will take place as a virtual event this year and welcomes those inside and outside of Texas to join the conversation.

The Virtual Summit is a three-day conference that brings together transportation leaders – policymakers, public agencies, research, industry, and community organizations – with the goal of developing shared solutions to the state’s most pressing mobility challenges. 

This year, the Alliance is focusing on:
  • Forging a resilient response to the pandemic
  • Developing a strategy for electrifying the transportation system
  • Addressing equity challenges for disadvantaged communities
Meet Sally Ayuk
2021 CM Walton Fellow
Sally Ayuk is a PhD student at The University of Texas at Arlington studying Urban Planning and Public Policy. In summer 2021, she became the first recipient of the C. Michael Walton Fellowship, which has allowed her to participate in research on public transit innovations for the Texas Innovation Alliance alongside Dr. Kristie Chin and Andrea Gold. In addition, Sally is conducting research by modeling housing prices based on GIS in the DFW metropolitan area. She plans to pursue a career in research and teaching after completing her graduate studies.

Sally wrote and presented her white paper Innovations in Public Transit: Lessons Learned from Pilots of Innovative Transit Technologies.
