Veronica is a transportation nerd who uses her knowledge to spark progressive social change in the community. In July 2012, the White House recognized her as a Champion of Change in transportation innovation. She lives her work and inspires others by doing so. She is a registered Professional Engineer in civil engineering specializing in transportation. Formerly serving as the Principal Planning Manager for Nspiregreen, an urban planning and environmental consulting company located in DC, she specializes in bringing the people element back into civil infrastructure planning and sustainable communities. Nspiregreen provided her the opportunity and freedom to engage communities and advocate for transportation in unique ways. She currently serves as Director of Transportation and Drainage Operations with the City of Houston.
